We have just launched an online version of the Pollution Control Handbook on behalf of the charity Environmental Protection.

Pollution Control Online provides a new, up-to-date and fully searchable online guide to environmental and pollution control legislation in the UK and Europe. Previously this information was only available in print so the new website will be more accessible, cost-effective, eco-friendly, easier to manage and far-reaching.

The site launched on January 5th 2010, right on time and to budget and includes:

• Search function including saved recent searches by user
• Innovative browsing functionality to aid user experience

• Newsletter manager
• Feedback form
• My account

We shall continue to work with Environmental Protection throughout 2010 to enhance the functionality of the website and to monitor website usage and user behaviour. We facilitated several user testing sessions at the prototype stage which proved invaluable in pinpointing issues and suggestions, and helped us fine tune the final solution.
